Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Somebody.Cards platform operated by us.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the service.

2. Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide us with information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our service.

3. Subscriptions, Cards, Shipping and Refunds

Ordering a card when you sign up. The card is free. You pay shipping and handling at checkout, calculated for your address. Your 30-day free trial starts at checkout, and the payment method you use is kept on file. When the trial ends, your subscription is billed monthly in advance at the price shown at checkout, and renews each month until you cancel.

Activating a card you already have starts a free trial without a payment method, as described in section 7.

Shipping. We ship cards within 2 business days of your order. Delivery time after that depends on the carrier.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the billing page of your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current trial or billing period, and you are not charged again. If you cancel during your free trial, you are not charged for the subscription.

Refunds. If you contact support@somebody.cards before your card is printed, we will refund the shipping charge. Once your card is printed, card and shipping charges are not refunded. Monthly subscription charges are not refunded, including for partial months; cancelling stops the next charge.

Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe.

4. Content

Our Service allows you to post, link, store, share and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material ("Content"). You are responsible for the Content that you post to the Service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding Content provided by users), features and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Somebody.Cards and its licensors.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

7. Free Trials, Lapsed Accounts and Data Deletion

Activating a Somebody.Cards card you did not order at signup, such as one bought from a retailer or given to you, starts a 30-day free trial. No payment method is required to begin it. A card ordered when you sign up starts its trial at checkout instead; see section 3.

If your trial ends without a payment method, or your subscription ends: your card stops opening your profile, and your public profile is no longer visible to anyone who taps it or visits its address. You keep access to your dashboard, and adding a payment method at any point before deletion restores your profile and reactivates any card you still hold, exactly as you left it.

We keep your account and its data for 180 days from that date. Fourteen days before that period ends we send one notice to the email address on your account, naming the date. That is the only notice we send.

After 180 days your account and its associated data are permanently deleted. This cannot be undone, and we cannot recover the data afterwards. Your public profile address becomes available for another member to use. Signing up again after that point creates a new account with none of the previous information.

If you belong to a team and that team's subscription ends, your individual account is not deleted on this schedule. Team-wide data is removed when the team account itself is closed.

After deletion we keep an anonymised record that the account existed and how it ended, containing no personal information. We use it to understand how our products are used over time.

You may ask us to delete your account sooner by contacting support@somebody.cards.

8. Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
